Spinning School Wide Goal:

By June 2017, we will demonstrate growth at each grade level by working in interdependent collaborative teams who use clearly defined essential learnings and common assessments.

 

Kindergarten Goals:

ELA

If I teach recognizing lowercase letters for 6 weeks, it will impact Literacy.RF.K.1d- Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet (essential standard) which will result in 75% of students knowing at least 20/26 letters. 34 out of 45 students at benchmark.  Current Reality:  31% at benchmark   Final Result:  87% at benchmark

 

If I teach blending of sounds for 6 weeks, it will impact Literacy.RF.K.4-Read emergent-reader texts with purpose and understanding (essential standard) and Literacy.RF.K.3a which will result in 75% of students passing the unit 9 assessment in the Read Well curriculum.  Current Reality:  0% at benchmark         Final Results:  81% at benchmark

 

If I teach common high frequency words RF.K. 3.c  for 9 weeks, it will impact their ability to read fluently. Which will result in 75% of students reading 80-100 high frequency words.   Current Reality:  0% at benchmark 

 

MATH

 

If we teach number formation for 6 weeks, it will impact  K.CC.A.3  Write numbers from 0-20 and represent a number of objects with a written numeral from 0-20 (essential standard) which will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  0% at benchmark   

Final Results:  84% at benchmark

 

If we teach number formation for 6 weeks, it will impact  K.OA.3 Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way (essential standard) which will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  22% at benchmark

 

First Grade Goals:

 

ELA      

 

If we teach phonics based CVC instruction and one-syllable consonant clusters for 6 weeks, it will impact domain 1.3  Know and apply grade level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words and specifically cluster B. Decode regularly spelled one-syllable words which will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  52% at benchmark 

Final Results:  90% at benchmark

 

 

If we teach RF.1.3g (Recognize and read grade-appropraite irregularly spelled words) for 3 weeks, it will impact their ability to read fluently (RF.1.4) which will result in 75% of students reading 150+ sight words.  Current Reality:  58% at benchmark    Final Results:  90% at benchmark

If we teach final –e and common vowel team conventions for representing long vowel sounds for 6* weeks, it will impact fluency (RF 1.4) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  48% at benchmark

 

MATH

If we teach addition within 10 for *6 weeks, it will impact domain 1 operations and algebraic thinking. Teaching addition within 10 weeks which will result in 85% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  77% at benchmark               Final Results:  95% at benchmark

If we teach subtraction within 10 for *6 weeks, it will impact domain 1 operations and algebraic thinking. Teaching subtraction within 10, for 6 weeks will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality 30% at benchmark

 

Second Grade Goals:

ELA

If we teach ___Main Idea in informational texts_________________ for 6 weeks, it will impact _____reading comprehension skill RI2.2______________(essential standard) which will result in __80___% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  38% at benchmark

If we teach word and phrase meaning strategies for 6 weeks, it will impact _their ability to define and use vocabulary words and phrases in text relevant to a grade 2 topic or subject area (essential standard) which will result in __80___% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:   37% at benchmark

MATH

If we teach addition and subtraction strategies for 6 weeks, it will impact _their ability to fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies (essential standard) which will result in __80___% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  35% at benchmark     Final Results:  78% at benchmark

 

If we teach skip counting by 5’s, 10’s and 100’s for 3 weeks, it will impact students ability to count within 1,000 (2 NBT.2) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality: 

 

 

 

Third Grade Goals:

If we teach character traits with text based evidence for 6 weeks, it will impact students ability to describe characters nad explain how their actions contribute to the the sequence of events (essential standard) which will result in 90 % of students meeting benchmark  Current Reality:  78% at benchmark   Final Results:  90% at benchmark            

If we teach close reading strategies for 6 weeks, it will impact students’ ablility to (RL 3.1)  ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers which will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark.  Starting the week of: 1-17-17, mid-point the week of: 2-7-17, end-point the week of: 2-28-17.  Current Reality:  0% at benchmark

 

MATH

 

If we teach multiplication to figure out the total number of objects in an array or equal number of groups for 6 weeks, it will impact 3.0a.1 (essential standard) which will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark. Starting on 10/4, midpoint 10/25, end point 11/21.  Current Reality:  38% at benchmark     Final Results:  83% at benchmark

 

If we teach addition with regrouping for 6 weeks, it will impact 3NBT.2 (essential standard) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark. 

If I teach multi-digit subtraction with regrouping for 6 weeks, using standards NBT 3.2. It will impact students’ ability to solve problems in all four operations which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:   8% at benchmark  Final Results:  100% at benchmark

 

Fourth Grade Goals:

ELA

If we teach  theme, central idea, and how to identify key details  for 6 weeks, it will impact ( RI.4.2)  sudents ability to determine the main idea of a text and explain how it is supported by key details  (essential standard) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark  Current Reality:  33% at benchmark      Final Results:   79% at benchmark

MATH

If we teach subtraction fluency, subtraction with regrouping, subtraction with money for 6 weeks, it will impact .NBT.4 Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm essential standard) which will result in ___80__% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  52% at benchmark      Final Results:  97% at benchmark

 

If we teach multiplication 4.NBT.5 skills for 6 weeks, it will impact 4.NBT.5 (multiply numbers up to 4-digits by a one-digit number, using strategies based on place value and the property of operations) which will result in 80% of students meeting benchmark  Current Reality:  35% at benchmark    Final Results:  100% at benchmark

If we teach ___2 digit by 2 digit multiplication___ for 6 weeks, it will impact   4.NBT.5   (essential standard) which will result in ___80__% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  15% at benchmark    Final Results:  98% at benchmark

If we teach themes and key details  for 6 weeks, it will impact

ELA-Literacy.RI.6.2 Determine a central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details; provide a summary of the text distinct from personal opinions or judgments.

If we teach the algorithum and place value models for multi-digit multiplication  for 6 weeks, it will impact 5.NBT.5   &6.NS.3 Fluently multiply multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation. (essential standard) which will result in 70% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  27% at benchmark    Final Results:  75% at benchmark

 

If we teach multidigit division for 6 weeks, it will impact 5.NBT.5 &6.NS2 (essential standard) which will result in 75% of students meeting benchmark.  Current Reality:  58% at benchmark
